These are  a few of the charms that I have swapped.  I use mannequins.  Some I have purchased and others I have made.  This sit on a mantel in my studio which use to be the family room when the kids were young and living at home.

Bird House

The Campbell River and District Arts Council held an Auction recently to raise funds for their scholorship fund.  They asked 20 artists to paint birdhouses and they would be auctioned off at a wine and dessert party.  This is the bird house that I painted.

Sherrill Kahn workshop Calgary Alberta 2011

This is the beautiful bed and breakfast that we stayed in during our time in Calgary. Sherrill also stayed here so we were very fortunate in having breakfast with her each morning and also given a ride to and fro the workshop. I highly recommend this B & B. The owner is a wonderful cook. The breakfasts were amazing. It is called Calgary City View B & B.

This is a demo that Sherrill did using a paint from Kroma called "Crackle". Kroma paints are made in Vancouver, B.C. They are a wonderful paint and their store is situated on Granville Island.

One of the many demos that Sherrill did for the class.

Sherrill posing with a huge coffee filter on her head. When you take a workshop with Sherrill, she uses everything but the kitchen sink to make backgrounds and to add depth to her work. Anything you can put paint on works. We were asked to bring face wipes, coffee filters, cosmetic pads, fabric to name just a few of the items.

Polly the Paper Doll

This is the second of the two dolls. The swap is held by the Yahoo group "Arttechniques". They are an amazing group of artists who share their talent and skills.

Moll the Doll

Joined an Art Doll Swap and made my first art doll. This is Moll.
It was a fun project to do as it took me back many years when I use to play with Paper Dolls and made paper clothes for them.

You can scroll down my blog and look at the many different styles and pick your pattern. You might also look at some of the other things that I have done as well while you are visiting. Please leave a comment and your Blog # so that I can visit you. The lucky winner will be announced Feb 17th. Good Luck and thank you for visiting.
